Mastri Birrai Umbri premiati at Falstaff Beer Trophy Italy 2025
Mastri Birrai Umbri obtains new important recognitions at the Falstaff Beer Trophy Italy 2025, a tasting dedicated to the selection and evaluation of some of the most interesting Italian beers of the year.
In this edition, two beers from the brewery received excellent ratings: California, with 95 Falstaff points , and Cacao Porter, with 91 Falstaff points.
California, a top-fermented IPA, stood out with a score of 95 points. Falstaff tasting notes describe a beer with a golden yellow colour and slight haze, characterised on the nose by passion fruit, mango, light citrus notes and a slight acidity. On the palate it is full, with a light sweetness, pleasant fizziness and moderate hoppy bitterness.
Cacao Porter obtained 91 points in the Stout/Porter category. According to the Falstaff notes, it presents itself with a dark chestnut brown colour and a slightly amber foam. On the nose, notes of chocolate and roasting emerge, while on the palate there are initial sweetness, a subtle malty bitterness, hints of dark chocolate and coffee.
These results confirm Mastri Birrai Umbri’s ability to interpret different styles with identity and coherence: from an intense and aromatic IPA like California to a dark and complex beer like Cacao Porter.
